The Research Department produces and publishes research studies, organises seminars and conferences, and participates actively in several international networks. Each year, the main lines of the research programme are determined in conjunction with the operational departments. Evaluation portal
The Evaluation and Knowledge Development Unit (RCH/EVA) is responsible for conducting evaluations in line with these objectives, and in particular for: (i) defining evaluation methods and the quality assurance process for evaluations conducted on completion of AFD financing; (ii) producing impact analyses of some of the projects, programmes and policies that AFD supports; (iii) managing overall or strategic evaluations; (iv) carrying out meta-evaluations and developing a knowledge base on specific topics >> More about AFD evaluation activities
Notre contribution aux débats
L’activité de production intellectuelle et stratégique de l’AFD connaît un développement significatif. La réflexion sur les stratégies et les modalités de l’aide au développement et la participation aux grands débats internationaux sont désormais partie prenante des actions de l’AFD. La recherche, l’évaluation et la capitalisation des expériences, l’animation de conférences et la formation sont devenus des outils à part entière, complémentaires des instruments techniques et financiers.
